Big Announcement: Joyfully Yoked is Morphing
Friends - Joyfully Yoked is morphing. You will soon notice a rebrand to my personal name, Bradley D. Larson. The new website URL will be www.bradleydlarson.com and all branding will change from Joyfully Yoked to just plain old me.
Why? Are you a megalomaniac who wants to see your name in lights? Glad you asked. You always ask such good questions.
Here's why: JY has morphed and changed since it began. It started with the two Brads running around like chickens with their heads on fire interviewing people and writing and podcasting and just stirring things up. Well as happens with projects like JY, things have settled. Brad Neathery, who is the world champion of the world and my dear friend, has stepped away from JY to focus on his killer branding agency (plug: www.rightbrainfactory.com). I have my head down writing the blog and books. Yes, more than one book is in the works.
This change is a simplification towards writing. Writing is where my heart and soul breathes fresh air and with the other important parts of my life (family, Suntech, Blue Oak Advisory, eldership at TDC), I need to focus on areas of maximum return. That's writing.
Further, it's important to be clear. As we (I sure hope you'll join me) work towards the book launch for Walking Through Walls, the message needs to be clear and I believe this rebrand will help do that. I intend to write other books in the future, and so what I have learned through research that it's best just to have an author page based on your name. That way you are not pigeon-holed into a specific genre. If nothing else, using my name is simple and clear - and simple and clear is good.
At this point, the change you will see is the following:
1. I will shut down JY's Twitter account and use my Twitter account solely (@bradleydlarson)
2. The FB page will be renamed to Bradley D. Larson with a matching URL. (You won't need to do anything.)
3. Rebranding of the website.
The blog will continue, the subject matter being mostly the same. Walking Through Walls will continue and launch. There are some great interviews yet to post via video and podcast, and I expect those to post as well. But the main focus is writing, if I haven't run that into the ground by now.
If you're still reading this, you probably care. So thank you. I mean that - thank you from the bottom of my heart. All of you who have supported this movement mean the world to me and I pray that you'll join me in this next phase.
