Let's Do This
It is about to get real. With creating comes risk, and so I am about to embark on the journey with a Kickstarter campaign to fund the book. I am launching this Monday, July 6.
I need your help.
The success of this Kickstarter campaign is predicated on you, the core group of readers of my stuff. I cannot push this hard enough to build enough buzz, and trying would make me an insufferable person.
Here is what I am asking of you:
1. Support the campaign. I would be honored if you would support my campaign on Kickstarter (I'll shoot out the link once it's live). The proceeds from Walking Through Walls are going directly to my church, so if you're the cynical kind and don't like being sold to, there's that.
2. Pray. I need your prayer above all. Not 'I'll pray for you' but hands folded talking to God type of prayer. If these words are not God's words and if this book isn't His will, I hope it flops hard and fast.
3. Share. Oh man is this crucial. Specifically, I would ask that you share the campaign with at least 3 people you know who are Christians with a job. Surely you aren't a hermit like John on Patmos and you know 3 people in this category. If you'll share more, please do. It would be huge if you'd share my blogs and what not as well - as this builds awareness. Share by email, Facebook, Twitter, or preferably one of those banners behind a prop plane. Or a blimp - yeah, do that.
I don't have a master plan. All I have is passion and a computer. And you. I am counting you to take this and run with it if you believe in the mission of Walking Through Walls (helping people connect faith and work) because I respect you too much to blow up your inbox or pressure you to buy into the campaign. I'm a capitalist and I believe you'll vote with your time, money, and resources where you find value.
This book has changed my life and I hope my whole heart that it will change yours. The goal is still to launch this year, which will require some serious hustle and God's favor through this Kickstarter campaign.
P.S. If you don't know what Kickstarter is, check out www.Kickstarter.com. Essentially it is a fund raising launch pad.
