We Did It - The Kickstarter Is Funded!
This is the table where I write in our kitchen. No, I didn't put the flower arrangement there. I have spent months of mornings here, my average brain pouring out thoughts into a jump drive which ostensibly will become Walking Through Walls. It was never a pipe dream - the book would be written and published somehow, some way.
But you blew it up.
With the Kickstarter funded, the book will be done right. Promoted, edited, designed, you name it. Money can't make me a better writer so I'll have to do, but the rest of the team will be rock stars. Lucid Books, my publisher and partner in this process, has been great and I am grateful for their team's support.
Today I looked down at my phone to check my email. Pulled down on the screen to refresh and load new emails. Ding. An email from Kickstarter. The email from Kickstarter. With 14 days to go, the project was funded by a guy named Kyle who I have never met (beer's on me, brother).
It just got real. The uncertainty of will this fund became they funded it now write it. And so I will. I will give it all I got.
Thanks for your support and readership. Thanks for your prayers. Please don't think I mean this in some cheesy trite patronizing way, but this book is for you. What gives me hope and guides my writing is the hope that God will bless your life with this book and that you'll inch closer to Jesus after you're done reading it.
