The Kickstarter campaign ended today. It was a roaring success. Thank you for your support and for helping to get the word out. 50 of you voted with your hard-earned dollars and many more shared and prayed. I am still shocked at how this went down.
When God created Adam and Eve, he immediately told them to get to work. This is the first blessing in the Bible. God told them to be fruitful and multiply (have kids) and have dominion over His creation. Adam and Eve were to push off from the wall of God's favor to make things happen.
I find myself here today. I am overjoyed and grateful and I don't want to move past that too quickly - but I am more motivated than ever to write an excellent book for you. The first draft of the manuscript will finish today and then I'll edit and rewrite for coherence and clarity. Then the manuscript goes to Lucid (the publisher) for proofing, laying out, etc.
Whereas yesterday is was Kickstarter promotion season, today is the first day of book promotion season. I will do some speaking here and there so if you'd like to book me to speak, drop me a line. Once the book is in print I will do some book signings as well, which is something I find absolutely hilarious (that someone would want me to sign their book).
I need your help to sell this book. It won't take much effort but it'll produce a huge return. Here is how:
1. Buy a copy or two and rate it on Amazon. Ratings are HUGELY important so I am asking each of you reading this to buy the book and submit a review. I'll try to make the book worth a 5 star review.
2. Share my writing. If you find value in my stuff, please share it with others - especially on social media. Retweets and likes and shares expand my reach and will help more people connect their faith and work.
3. Hire me to speak. If you or someone you know would benefit from a message on connecting work and faith, let me know. Since all the funds from book sales are going to The Door Church, I'm motivated to sell books and so we can probably barter a bit on honorarium.
4. Pray. I am a broken and average dude. God's mission for our lives - and our work - is so huge. Writing this book is beyond me and if God doesn't move here, you'll see the limit to my talent and energy. I want God to change the way we think about our faith at work and the bigger the checks to The Door Church, the better.
The goal is to launch the book by Thanksgiving - so I better get back to work. Much love.
